The most famous and valued hike is Santa Cruz, located in the Cordillera Blanca within the Huascaran National Park with spectacular views of the mountains and crystal clear lagoons and its two high passes, Union Punta at 4,700 m. and Portachuelo 4,750m. Climbing to the Pisco snow-capped mountain 5,752m. No mountaineering experience is required. The climb does not present technical difficulties. The ascent is suitable for hikers without previous experience in snow and ice.
Most of the trail is not steep and is not technical. There is a short section that is not very steep and you will have the support of our guide. We will use crampons, ropes, harness and ice axe and from its summit 5752M. An impressive view of the most famous peaks of the Cordillera Blanca can be seen: Huascarán 6,768 m, Huandoy 6,395 m, Artesonraju 6,025 m, Chopicalqui 6,354 m, etc. Nevado Chopicalqui 6,354m. Located next to Huascarán, which is in the Llanganuco valley, Chopicalqui 6,354 offers a moderate climb with enough exposure to maintain the climber’s adrenaline levels
